ELITE Cup Series – Rocket League Tournaments

ELITE Cup Series Rocket League Tournaments at RetroGameCon 2022 in Syracuse, NY! We will have 2 tournaments. A high school 2v2 Rocket League tournament on Saturday and a public 2v2 Rocket League tournament on Sunday. Both tournaments are free to enter and will have some awesome gaming prizes for the winners!

RULES & FORMAT

ROCKET LEAGUE

The onsite tournament admins will settle problems not covered within the current rules. Additionally, regulations & formats can be changed if deemed necessary. 

Requirements: Participates in the tournament must be a part of a high-school esports team with the following equipment to compete in the ELITE CUP Rocket League Tournament: 

  • Xbox Controller (optional)
  • Keyboard
  • Mouse & Mousepad
  • Headset
  • Rocket League Account
  • Discord Username

 

  • By participating in this tournament, you agree to share your team name and gamer username with the tournament admin. Your game ID will be on the Elite Gaming Website. 
  • Once the registration closes, the tournament admin will create the layout and email it to the team captains before the event day. 
  • Discord will be the primary tool to communicate with tournament admins and competitors. Invite to Elit Gaming discord will be provided on completion of team registration. 
  • Teams will consist of 2 players per team.
  • Upon match completion, each player will report the match scores to the tournament admin at the event.

 

Game Play: 

 

  • The players can not change settings not listed below from their default state. 
  • The Home Team will be responsible for setting up the Match. 
  • To set up your game, load Rocket League™ on your device and follow these steps: 
  • Bot Difficulty: No Bots 
  • Team Settings: Home Team = Orange, Away Team = Blue 
  • Include your team name within the Team Settings 
  • Mutator Settings: Series Length: 3 games; the rest are default settings. 
  • Region: US-EAST
  • Game Mode: SOCCAR
  • Arena: DFH Stadium 
  • Joinable By: Name/Password 6. 
  • Team Size: 2 vs. 2
  • Name: “EGC team name.” 
  • Password: EGC
  • All matches are best out of three series. 
  • Games will be five minutes in length, and whichever team has the most goals at the end of the game will be determined as the winner. In case of a tie, there will be a five-minute sudden death overtime match right away. 
  • If a “player” unintentionally disconnects from the game, the game shall continue as played. The disconnected player will attempt to rejoin the game as soon as possible. If the player cannot, the tournament admin has the final ruling if the game should be replayed or continue. 

 

Tournament Format: 

  • The tournament format is determined by the number of teams registered by the end of the deadline. 
  • Tournament schedule and format 
    • Day One: Saturday - High School Invitational
      • 2v2 double elimination
    • Day Two: Sunday - Public Play Tournament
      • 2v2 single elimination
  • Teams are guaranteed at least two games. 
  • The in-game ranking system will determine the seeding of the tournament.
  • The tournament schedule will be available to all teams on the Elite Gaming League Spot site for reference. Teams can also find the information on the Elite Gaming discord.

 

Each player must abide by the esports player code of conduct. 

 

  • Esports is an open and welcoming environment where all parties can feel safe and enjoy developing their skills. 
  • All competitors must participate in creating a safe and fun environment; we need to take personal responsibility for how we behave toward other participants and teams competing in the tournament. 
  • All players must follow the rules below: 
    • No player should use profane language during gameplay or in their nicknames or other expressions that would insult another player.
    • Players will not use language that refers to violence. 
    • Players will not disrespect the other players and show good sportsmanship before, during, and after the game.
    • Players will respect the match and control their temper. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary actions to resolve the issue. Measures may include but are not limited to verbal warnings, automatic forfeits, and disqualification from the tournament.
